How It Began

Hi, I'm Dee.

Up until 2020, I was a seasoned professional in the corporate world, with a notebook always in hand. Writing and jotting everything down always helped me to make sure I was always on top of my work. The digital note keeping never quite sat well with me. Call me old fashioned. 

My love for notebooks and stationery has been there ever since I was young and the feeling, when getting a new notebook, creating scrapbook or writing a journal; always made me joyful. Helped me keep my memories over the years. 

Dxign Co was created from my love for writing and fuelled by my passion for crafting personalised, handmade notebooks and other stationery that can be uniquely yours!

The Name - Backstory

I often get asked where the name Dxign came from...

My husband, Joe and I (Dee) brainstormed non-stop for about a week coming up with all sorts of cool and creative business names. We wanted the name to have reflect on words like unique, creative, handmade, artist and maker. All of that lead to one simple word 'design' and that was my focus - Creating good design. Me and my husband are highly inspired by the work of Dieter Rams and his 'Ten Principles of Good Design'. A simple play of letters and voila... Dxign Co (Design Company). 

The logo was a whole different challenge, that took about 2 months of ideation, sketching, and refining. You can see some of our initial logo mockups on our facebook page. Finally, sticking to a clean and minimalistic logo that incapsulates our love for simple but unique design.
